Finally back!!!

Wow! How long has it been since I have been on? I even forgot the name of the site and just came across it! I am very excited to be back on and I am looking forward to support yet again. A lot has changed since last time. I have been on weight watchers for 6 months and lost 25 pounds! I will update my weight ticker shortly. I still have a long ways to go, but I look forward to re starting my journey with support from you all and I hope I can do the same!

Completely off track and gained weight!

Well, I have not been on in awhile and I have completly fallen off the wagon! I have gained 5 pounds and have not been in the gym in weeks. Makes me wonder if I should have kept my bariatric surgery? I would have been almost 3 months post-op and possibly what… 30 pounds off! It’s an extremly huge journey and I feel as though I am never going to accomplish it. I have about 100 pounds to lose! Is this even possible to do on my own??!!!  I googled and found a site where I typed in all my info and they gave me a weekly break down of how many calories to eat each week for about 2 pound weight loss a week. (ex: week 1 1420 calories, week 2 1409, week 3 1398) and it keeps going down until I have week 30 at 1,103 calories and a 60 pound weight loss. I am going to give this serious calorie counter a serious shot with exercise. I’m hoping I can do this. I have two children to live for, a wedding dress to fit in and summer clothes to wear!

 Does anyone have any food tips? I am so sick of baked chicken and veggies! LOL and would you all reccomend a food scale…. I kind of wing it with meat portion sizes and Im thinking thats not the best idea!

Lost my way, back again…

Well, as you all know, my gastric bypass surgery was scheduled December 29th and I canceled it. I had high hopes of doing it on my own, then I lost my way. =-(  Even though it is NO excuse, I have been so busy and got extremly lazy with healthy eating and working out. I have not been to the gym in about a week and I have been eating crap for food. I have even gone as far as eating fast food!! =-(   I am ready to jump back on this wagon and start this again.. and not only start it, but FINISH IT. I know I can do this, I just need to stop being so damn lazy and do it for myself, my life and my children!! I will weigh in tomorrow morning, update my weight ticker, get a good workout in tomorrow and begin the journey again.

Does healthy eating and exercise really work?

I have about 100 pounds to lose and I recently quit medifast because I was getting so sick of the same nasty shakes. I am currently doing daily exercise and healthy eating. No weight loss yet. Will this really work or should I look into getting back on a real diet type plan? I would love any feedback!

 As of today, I had:

Breakfast- 1 1/2 cups of egg beaters , 3 turkey sausage links and a banana

Lunch- Light and fit yogurt, turkey and cheese sandwich with light mayo on multi grain bread.

Dinner- I am doing baked chicken with salad and a veggie.

 I also got in a 25 minute walk on the treadmill with high incline and I am going to do my wii exercise after dinner.

Exercise Recommendation

I got the wii for Christmas from my boyfriend and today I got The Biggest Loser wii game. I HIGHLY recommend it!!!! You put in your age, weight, height. You choose your trainer Bob or Jillian. You can exercise with or without the wii balance board. It is an awesome workout. You put in your goals. You did weekly weigh ins. You do challanges or/and one on one workouts. I was sweating soooo bad!!!!!!   I recommend it! I am going to do this daily and see if this helps my weight loss!!!

Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!

Well, I have gained about 2 pounds and I am so upset. I am only at 17 pound weight loss and I had a mini goal set for Christmas day, but obviously it’s not going to happen. I am going to keep my head up. Eat in moderation during the holidays and jump back on track. I really need to start working out more often… it is not helping when I dont exercise! I will get back on track!  I am hoping to lose 3 pounds by next weekend.

My goal!

I have officially lost a total of 18 pounds so far!! I just wanted it to be known, that I want to have ATLEAST 20 pounds total off by Christmas morning. (though I will take more! lol) I wanted to tell everyone because I want to be forced to do it and have my weigh in and show the results!!! My other goal is to NOT gain ANY weight during Christmas! ugh.

Stuck

I am on my 4th week of my life style change and I have lost 14 pounds. I am happy and proud, don’t get me wrong, but I feel as though I am stuck. I feel like I am not losing weight anymore. I was hoping it would be quicker, but I guess all I can do is try my best and not give up. My goal is to lose 20 pounds total ( another 6 pounds) by Christmas morning and then an additional 5 pounds for New Years. Is this possible? I am going out for my first time this new years. Any reccomendations about drinking? I know it has TONS of carbs, but I do want to drink and have fun… what should I do??

December 9th, 2009.

Hi Guys! I hope everyone is doing well! Today ( in NY) we had a snow day.My children didn’t go to day care and I didn’t go to work, so today has been a BAD DAY with diet and exercise =-(  We got to play outside in the snow for a few, but came inside rather quickly because it was chilly, so unfortunately, I did not get a work out in today! =-( and my eating has been shitty today, as well. I started the day off right with egg beaters and then my shake in the afternoon, but after that everything went down hill. I have realized I can NOT stay home all day because out of boredem, I will eat. =-(  I will most definitely get back on track tomorrow!! I also signed up for a ready to be fit aerobics class and a yoga-lates class at my local Ymca. I am excited!!! I hope everyone is doing great and keeping up the good work!!!!

Things are going well!

First off, I want to say again THANK YOU SO MUCH. I appreciate the encouraging words of support. It means a lot to me. Becky- you’re a great friend. Thank you! Let me start off by saying I have lost a total of 13 pounds now! I am still on medifast with one lean and green meal a day and I am doing great. I can’t gag down any other flavors, except chocolate. I actually like the taste now and I am doing great with them! I officially canceled my surgery, too! The bariatric center did not sound too happy, but I do not care. This is MY body and MY health and if they are in the bariatric field for the true reason of wanting to see people healthy and life changed, then they should be happy that I have opted to do this on my own. Though my surgeon was supportive! =-) I am been working out on daily and eating the right things! My goal is to have 30 pounds off by New years! We will see! Thank you again everyone!

I want to end this by saying to everyone- YOU CAN DO IT. WE can do it TOGETHER. Everyone is so supportive to me, but I forget to give the support back. Keep your head up, forget about yesterday and worry about today. We can all do this! Thank you.
